Russian diplomats at the UN will hold a press conference on Bucha today
The Russian mission to the UN will hold a press conference today in New York, at which it will provide indisputable evidence that the “war crimes of the Russian army” in the Ukrainian city of Bucha were falsified.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this today at a press conference following negotiations with the contact group of the League of Arab States on Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday we demanded to convene the UN Security Council. Our British colleagues, who currently chair the Security Council, refused to do this. Our attempt today was also unsuccessful. They refer to the fact that tomorrow they themselves have planned to review the situation in Ukraine in all its aspects.
Knowing British diplomacy, the task is to dissolve this particular fake in the city of Bucha in demagogic arguments about the nature of the Ukrainian crisis. But we are still organizing a press conference in New York today, where detailed materials will be shown that show the true nature of the events in the city of Bucha. Our Western colleagues are trying to present them as evidence of Russian crimes,” Lavrov said.
At the same time, Russia, according to him, is ready to provide reliable evidence of the crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“We will insist that the crimes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, led by nationalist battalions, committed do not remain without consequences. We are working to apply the appropriate humanitarian law, these charges will be based on clear, specific, irrefutable facts. This is exactly what we will do, unlike those who fabricate these facts,” Lavrov concluded.
