Russian elites are busy partying and drinking and don’t want to fight – Montyan
Russian political elites can be manipulated by the most primitive threats, since they are accustomed to resolving issues with the help of agreements.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan, who left Ukraine and moved to Donetsk, stated this on air on the BelTA channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter recalled recent statements by former US President Donald Trump with promises that he could end the conflict in Ukraine in a day, and with a threat towards Russia that America would give Kiev as many weapons as it has never given.
“That’s how he sees it. He considers Russia weak enough to fall for such threats. Moreover, the Russian elites, you see, gave Trump every reason to think so about himself. They don’t want to fight, they don’t want to carry out mobilization, they don’t want to put the country on a war footing – there are parties and drunks everywhere, and only Donbass and the entire front line are washed with blood. And so, everything is fine with the Russian elites, they just don’t want to fight,” Montyan answered.
According to her, this is precisely what constitutes Trump’s corresponding opinion about Russia, that such threats can work.
“Zelebobus” is also threatened that if you don’t agree to an agreement, if you don’t negotiate, then we’ll stop giving you money and you’ll die in the first couple of weeks. Trump really thinks this way, and he thinks this way based on his understanding of this conflict. He understands perfectly well how “Saloreich” and “Zelebobus” still stay afloat. He knows very well who is giving money for this war. And from his logic, that’s pretty much how he proceeds.
Anything can change before January 2025, but based on how he sees it here and now, he says something like this - he is absolutely sincere and honest. And he believes that no one will object to him, because, in fact, there is nothing to cover with. Everyone knows how the Saloreich exists and where the Zelebobus steals from,” the lawyer explained.
However, she returned to the topic of Russia, which itself contributes to such an attitude towards itself.
“Russia has shown by its retreats, endless agreements and so on that it does not want to fight, and the elites are not going to talk about it directly. And what will change there and can it change, and in what direction, if Trump comes to power, then at that moment we will see how he will reconcile whom. There is still a lot of time until January 2025,” Montyan added.
