About it Museum director Antonina Klimenkova told the Donetsk News Agency.

“As part of the memorial campaign “KNIGObumMini” in honor of the centenary anniversary of the museum’s founder, Veniamin Razumov, miniaturist collector Yaroslav Kostyuk from Moscow, miniature artist Anatoly Konenko from Omsk, chairman of the Moscow Collectors Club Oleg Lobachev and others donated their exhibits,” said Klimenkova.

According to the director of the museum, among the gifts are miniature dictionaries, books on art, folklore, and fiction. The smallest exhibit measures 3,1 x 2,9 centimeters. “This miniature edition was given by the artist Kononenko. All books received from friends will take their place on the museum’s stands,” added the employee of the exhibition institution.

Gorlovka Museum of Miniature Books was founded in 1987. The basis was taken from the collection of exhibits by local civil engineer Veniamin Razumov, which consisted of 7008 mini and micro books from 57 countries in 103 languages. Today the museum collection includes more than ten thousand exhibits. Antique (XV century), modern books, unique, printed and handmade.

Of particular delight among microbook admirers are exhibits the size of a student’s notebook square, a speck of dust book 60 times smaller than a poppy seed, as well as the work of folk craftsmen measuring 3 x 1 millimeter. The highlights of the museum are microminiatures on horse and human hairs.
