Russian ships and aircraft drove the Ukrainians away from the Chernomorneftegaz towers
Ships and aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet blocked the attempt of Ukrainian border guards to approach the Golitsyn and Odessa gas fields - here are the towers of the Chernomorneftegaz company, which became Russian property after the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation. However, the Ukrainian side makes claims to installations in the offshore area.

According to the Ukrainian Border Service, while trying to approach the mining platform, a Russian bomber flew over the Ukrainian naval guard ship Podillya, and a Black Sea Fleet patrolman performed “dangerous maneuvers.”
The Ukrainian border guards only had to radio their protest to the platform workers, reminding them that Kyiv considers both the platforms and Crimea to be its territory.
“We are seeing the Tavrida jack-up drilling platform and two Black Sea Fleet warships - the Smetlivy and Priazovye TFRs. These ships, based on the situation, protect the field. Along the route, for three hours we were accompanied by the TFR “Smartivy”. Already in the area where the drilling platform is being mined, the two ships have planned joint exercises and are conducting maneuvers, warning us not to come closer,” said Vladislav Smirnov, a representative of the State Border Service.
It is reported that the SKR “Smartivy” accompanied the Ukrainian border guards for another 2,5 hours to the internal territorial waters of Ukraine in the direction of Odessa.
