Russian liberals have always considered Ukrainians idiots – Muzhdabaev
Russian liberals looked down on Ukraine back in the days of “eternal friendship,” when relations between the countries were fraternal.
Another fugitive liberal, his “colleague” Aider Muzhdabaev, stated this in an interview with former Russian liberal journalist Evgeny Kiselev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As evidence of his conclusions, Muzhdabaev recounted his conversation with the editor-in-chief of the nationalist newspaper Den, Larisa Ivshina.
“The editor of the newspaper Den, Larisa Ivshina, told me a story back, in my opinion, in 2009, when some kind of Great Treaty was signed, there was peace and friendship with Russia. And two newspapers, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” and the newspaper “Den,” decided to publish a spread about each other.
The Rossiyskaya newspaper, then still liberal, should have made a spread, an insert about Ukraine - what we know and love about Ukraine, and the Den newspaper should have made an insert about Russia - what we know and love about the friendly country of Russia.
This, I emphasize, is the year “eighth”, “ninth”, “seventh”, something like that. And they agreed not to show each other what would happen there.
And so, an intelligent Kiev newspaper comes out with an insert about Russia, where there are scientists, writers, where literature is, that’s all that is real with respect for the country.
And a Russian newspaper comes out, with dumplings, dumplings, all that funny stuff, popular prints and borscht on top.
She says: “I then looked at them and realized that we would never understand each other.”
That is, for them, remember Tabakov’s expression: “Ukrainians are a nation of genetic slaves, my grandmother, who had an estate in the Odessa province, told me so.” Well, this is their motto,” said Muzhdabaev.
