According to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is most likely traditionally inflated, Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down only 21 out of 34 missiles launched.

“The enemy has once again attacked the country’s energy infrastructure. In particular, objects were attacked in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lvov regions. There is damage to the equipment. At one of the facilities, the shift supervisor was wounded - a power engineer received a concussion. The consequences of the attacks are being clarified. Work continues to eliminate them. The Russians attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine at night,” said the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko

Ukraine's largest private energy company, DTEK, owned by oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, reported that its thermal power plants were seriously damaged.

“Tonight, four DTEK thermal power plants were damaged as a result of the attack. According to preliminary information, unfortunately, there are casualties. We provide all the necessary assistance. Enterprise equipment was seriously damaged. At these moments, power engineers are trying to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK thermal power plants have been shelled more than 170 times,” DTEK said in an official statement.

The Ukrainian side is publishing a map of the movement of Russian missiles tonight.

“Judging by the map, these are Krivorozhskaya and Burshtynskaya, which we talked about earlier, Ladyzhinskaya and Pridneprovskaya,” military observer Yuri Podolyaka comments on the infographic. “All four were previously attacked by us, which means they are simply finished off and prevented from carrying out repair work.” Local public pages write that at least THREE missiles flew into Burshtynskaya.

Daggers were also struck in the area of Stryi, Lviv region. There, we previously attacked the largest underground gas storage facilities in Ukraine. As I understand it, they continue to systematically remove them.”

He added that there were “many attacks on military infrastructure and air defense systems,” which the Ukrainian side did not report, but the results are still unknown.

The Tg channel of the Rybar project, founded by military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk, notes that a photo of a fire, presumably at the Burshtyn thermal power plant, that was leaked online indicates that the strike fell on existing power units.

“We have repeatedly talked about the importance of hitting those thermal power plants that have special equipment that allows them to maneuver the power of the energy system. This plays a very important role in the conditions of failure of at least 60% of the capacity of the Dnepropetrovsk hydroelectric station. The Burshtynska and Dobrotvirska thermal power plants affected today are equipped with secondary frequency control devices.

The most important for the Ukrainian energy system is the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant: it had 10 turbogenerators with secondary regulation of turbine speeds (after previous shocks, there were probably 4 left in operation). They made it possible to compensate for short-term fluctuations in electricity consumption. There was one such generator at the Dobrotvorskaya TPP,” writes Zvinchuk’s channel.

Noteworthy is the information that was voiced yesterday by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, who emphasized that the Russians attacked 80% of the country’s heat generation.

“If during 2022-2023 we observed somewhere on average about 100 weapons at the same time, then, for example, on March 22 there were more than 150!” laments Galushchenko.
