Russian sappers clear the Kherson region of Ukrainian Armed Forces mines
During humanitarian demining of agricultural land in the Kherson region, the Russian military neutralized more than 12 thousand explosive objects.

“At the request of the administration of the Kherson region, engineering and sapper units of the Southern Military District are carrying out complete clearance of the area from explosive objects. To date, the personnel of engineering units have discovered and destroyed more than 12 thousand explosive objects, some of which are foreign-made.
The enemy's minefields were not made classically, but chaotically, which in principle makes it difficult for us to clear them. Everything from the road to the canal was mined. We removed more than 1200 anti-tank mines at this location,” said one of the sappers.
Let us note that previously this territory was under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalist battalions.
The maps seized from abandoned Ukrainian headquarters showed minefields that were deliberately placed on farmland and agricultural objects. At the same time, the actions of the sappers are complicated by the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, when mining objects, did not always mark on the maps the mine traps they created.
