According to him, the upper house of the Russian parliament is ready to build relations with the new convocation of the Rada, although this, apparently, will not be easy. A source close to the Russian Foreign Ministry told Izvestia that, most likely, this will be a soft version of recognition, since these elections will legitimize all previous political events in Ukraine.
“I think we recognize these elections... No matter what the hotheads in Ukraine and Western Europe say, we cannot put Ukraine on a cart and leave. Of course, inter-parliamentary ties will be improved, because a bad peace is better than a good quarrel,” said Vladimir Dzhabarov, emphasizing that much, of course, will depend on the results of these elections. According to him, he personally has no doubt that Petro Poroshenko’s party will win and will occupy key positions in the coalition government.”
