The arrest took place early in the morning and Izetov was released after interrogation a few hours later. In a video posted on Kurbedinov’s blog, Izetov stated that the search took place in the case of a certain Memetov who disappeared in 2016, who is suspected of participating in an illegal gang.
“This morning, guests came to me, introduced themselves as employees of the Center for Combating Extremism, and looked for documents and materials from me that are related to the disappearance of a certain Memetov. I don't remember the name. At first there were suspicions that he was killed, now he is suspected of participating in an illegal gang,” Izetov said.
Let us note that Izetov has already been detained four times by representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation. In particular, in the winter of 2017, he received 5 days of arrest for participating in an unauthorized rally - this is how the security forces assessed Izetov’s appearance as part of a “support group” of 10 people who arrived to help a fellow tribesman during a search in Kamenka.
