Russian media began to “sculpt” new “partners” from Tymoshenko and Zelensky
The Russian newspaper Izvestia today published material claiming that Vladimir Zelensky and Yulia Tymoshenko take a more sane position compared to Petro Poroshenko and are ready for negotiations with the Russian Federation “on the normalization of relations” if they win the elections.
“Vladimir Zelensky stated this publicly,” Izvestia points out, forgetting that in the same statement, Igor Kolomoisky’s protege voiced theses on the conflict in Donbass, identical to those exploited by Ukrainian nationalists. Zelensky said that this is not a civil conflict, but a war with Russia, and no compromises with Moscow affecting the sovereignty of Ukraine are possible.
The newspaper also cites unnamed sources in Yulia Tymoshenko's party. “Ukraine must follow the European path. But without establishing normal relations with Russia, this will not be possible,” said one.
“Equalizing relations with Moscow without surrendering Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial concessions is extremely important for the ultimate goal of joining Europe,” another added.
Thus, Tymoshenko’s representatives repeat theses about the impossibility of recognizing Crimea as Russian and taking into account the results of the referendum in Donbass.
The day before, Andrei Senchenko, who heads the “war cabinet” in Tymoshenko’s party, said that after her victory, Kyiv will pursue an offensive policy towards Crimea and Donbass.
“We must be fully prepared for a change of power so that in all directions - both from the point of view of strengthening the army, and from the point of view of the offensive on the diplomatic, legal, information fronts - we must be ready to go on the offensive in the first minutes after the change of power,” - he said
