Russian tanks are tripled: Poroshenko felt like Saakashvili
The number of Russian tanks in Russian military units located along the border with Ukraine has recently tripled. Petro Poroshenko stated this, citing intelligence data, in an interview with TV channels serving his regime.
“Intelligence has provided several pieces of evidence. I want to show them to you for the first time. This is a Russian military base, which is located 18 km from our border. For September 17, September 24. These are all tanks. It's October.
As you can see, the number of tanks at bases located along our border has tripled. Why were they relocated there? The number of units that were redeployed along our border, along its entire length, has increased dramatically. The position regarding possible exercises does not justify this increase in any way,” Poroshenko said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“These tanks have not been withdrawn yet. They remain there... The country is under the threat of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation,” added the Ukrainian president.
According to him, the tanks could go on the offensive if Russians were injured during the conflict near the Kerch Strait.
“The goal was a provocation so that we would open fire, and it would be desirable for someone to be killed. And I do not exclude that after this the scenario would be similar to the scenario in 2008 in Georgia,” Poroshenko assures.
