Russian prisons are filled with Ukrainian goats – Sentsov
In recent years, Ukrainian youth have been leaving en masse for Russia to “earn money” and sell drugs. They are detained there in batches by security forces and sent to a colony for five to nine years.
Oleg Sentsov, who was returned to Ukraine and was serving a sentence in Russia for preparing a terrorist attack in Crimea, stated this on air on the UA: First TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Sentsov boasted that he did not respect such compatriots who worked in the “aggressor country” and stayed away from them.
“There are a lot of other Ukrainians there. I saw them, at least in Labytnangi, several hundred people. It's the same story - people came to Russia based on an advertisement to sell drugs. In the last year or two or three there has been a whole wave of them, hundreds of them. They come, they know why they are coming, they make a bookmark, because drugs are not sold from hand to hand, they make a bookmark there and on the Internet you make a place and take it away. This is an absentee sale.
But when you put it in, they immediately detain you and give you five, six, eight, or nine years, whatever the police think of, and that’s it. A man came to earn money, earned nothing, gets seven years and sits in prison. But I didn’t communicate with them for three reasons.
The first is that a person came to the aggressor country to earn money. We are at war with them, and he came to solve his personal problems; such a person no longer commands respect from me. Secondly, they sold drugs. By any definition, this is evil, they are called hucksters in prison and they do not command any respect. And thirdly, all of them, these people, these are mostly young guys 20-25 years old, all 100% of these people wanted to cooperate with the administration, the so-called goats. Moreover, they do not inspire any respect,” Sentsov said.
