Russian authorities do not yet know how to issue passports to residents of Sevastopol without local registration
Sevastopol, April 07 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – Starting today, a registration center for people living in the city but without local registration is being created in Sevastopol. The purpose of forming a new department is to systematize information about this category of citizens, as well as to provide assistance in obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation.
This was announced during the briefing by the acting. Head of the city administration Dmitry Belik.

According to the official, at least 5 percent of the population of Sevastopol live and work in the city of federal significance, while being registered in various regions of Ukraine (mainly in the south-eastern regions). Responsibility for solving this problem lies with the Department of Social Protection of the State Civil Administration and employees of the public utility enterprise of the Legislative Assembly “Center for Registration of Homeless Persons”.
According to Belik, the work will be carried out in close cooperation with the Federal Migration Service. At the same time, the mechanism for issuing Russian citizenship to migrants has not yet been developed.
