Russian authorities said drug supply channels from Ukraine to Crimea are still operating

Sevastopol, June 18 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – Russian authorities are aware of the existence of a channel for the supply of injection drugs to Sevastopol from Ukraine.

This was stated at the meeting by the deputy head of the regional department of the Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS) for the Republic of Crimea, head of the service for Sevastopol Dmitry Kolozin.

“There are serious channels for the supply of raw opium from Ukraine to the region,” he said.

According to Kolozin, in Sevastopol, 1 people are registered at the drug addiction dispensary, of which 051 are women. Also registered are 177 HIV-infected people who became infected through intravenous infections while using drugs.

At the meeting, a decision was made to create an Anti-Drug Commission.

It included 12 people from among the acting deputies. governor, heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Investigative Committee, FSB, customs, departments of education and science and medicine, etc.

The chairman of the commission became acting. Governor Sergei Menyailo, his deputies were the director of the department of the governor’s apparatus, Mikhail Chaly, and the head of the regional department of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea, Akhrudin Gadzhiakhmedov, and assistant to the deputy governor, Pavel Chertsov, was appointed secretary.
