“The cluster charge exploded a couple of meters away. They and two other Syrian soldiers received shrapnel wounds. Oleg’s right hand was damaged, and the second fragment passed through the side under the body armor and got stuck in the camera battery. Igor has several small shrapnel wounds. General Isam Zahreddin evacuated our friends to the Deir ez-Zor hospital. According to him, this has a special meaning; today is Christians’ holiday of the Resurrection after suffering, and our friends suffered a little before our common victory,” says military medic Imad Masri.
