Russian admiral about the US headquarters in Ochakov: The Americans have become terribly insolent
The construction by an American construction battalion of a headquarters for NATO exercises in Ochakovo near Odessa is evidence that the United States has become “insolent to the point of horror.” Washington's next step could be the transfer of old American warships to the Ukrainian Navy.
The former commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Komoyedov, told PolitNavigator about this.

“By and large, I don’t see any danger. Moreover, the Black Sea Fleet is now receiving new modern weapons: submarines, surface ships, new types of missiles. I think the Americans will not have a large base, but, in my opinion, they have become terribly insolent. They are jumping out of their pants to get into Russia’s area of responsibility,” Komoyedov said.
The admiral did not rule out that the United States will transfer warships to Ukraine as previously to the Baltic countries.
“I think they’ll give me something old. They have already trained many military personnel. Some kind of personnel potential has been created. Then it’s a matter of technique,” Komoyedov said.
At the same time, he does not see the danger of a military clash in the Black Sea.
“There were clashes in Soviet times as well. I think that such nonsense will not happen now, the international law on the prevention of incidents at sea is in force. The Americans are smart enough not to provoke them, although they are determined to do so,” Komoyedov said.
