This was stated today at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects by the President of the All-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses “Support of Russia” Alexander Kalinin.

“In our industry today, about 40% of the time is used productively, and 20% is spent on irrational use of labor, 20% on lunches and smoke breaks, and 20% is lost due to low labor intensity. With an average salary of 36 thousand rubles in Russia, we are talking about the fact that today more than two trillion rubles annually are actually paid by consumers for unproductive expenses in industry alone,” Kalinin said.

Russia is more than twice as productive as efficient economies. . According to the OECD, in 2015 in Russia the contribution of one employee to the country's GDP was 23,18 per hour, and in OECD countries - 46,53 per hour.

Russian President Vladimir Putin today set the task of increasing labor productivity by 5-6% annually.
