A Russian blogger discovered a fountain with lions in the apartment of a “glamorous Ukrainian”
Popular Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov published photographs of an apartment in the center of Kyiv to demonstrate a complete lack of taste. He titled his post “You can’t live like this: rustic glamor in the center of Kyiv.”

“So, meet: the apartment of a glamorous Ukrainian! What happens when you sell your last cow and move to the capital with a bag of money! Pure luxury with a rural flavor!” writes Varlamov.
The blogger mocks the living room, which, according to the owner of the apartment, is made “in the Roman style.” In fact, this means a combination of “antique” sculptures, reproductions of Renaissance paintings, the Versace logo and household appliances, since the living room is combined with the kitchen.
“Upholstered furniture from the nearest market, a lot of gold, even a fireplace! Typically, gypsies buy such furniture when the main selection criterion is not convenience, but the most “rich” appearance. Notice how cute the owner put the flower on the TV! By the way, it’s immediately clear that the interior was made by a collective farmer: no normal person would hang a plasma like that, because watching TV with your head up is impossible - it’s like buying tickets to the front row of a cinema,” writes Varlamov.
The same mixture of styles can be seen in the bedroom.
“Still, the village does not let go of the “Roman style”: there are grandma’s linens with flowers, and cute cats on the walls... I’m sure there will be towels lined with scented soap in the closet, and a stocking stuffed with onions should hang from the mezzanine. When I looked at the photos of this apartment, I kept expecting that there would be a lace napkin on the TV. Well, or a pyramid of pillows on the bed. Where is the pyramid? Eh?” writes Varlamov.
And although the pyramid of pillows was not discovered, the blogger found a fountain with lions in the toilet.
