A Russian volunteer played the role of an Azov militant and supplied information to the DPR militia
Alexey Filippov, who spoke in an interview with Anatoly Shariy about the crimes of the “Right Sector” in the ATO zone, is not a militant, but a Russian citizen who carried out a special task and supplied the DPR militia with important intelligence data.
A former DPR soldier, and in 2014 the coordinator of the DPR militia, Alexander Zhuchkovsky, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“In the PolitNavigator story, Alexey Filippov was called a Right Sector militant; I want to clarify that he was not a militant, he was a person playing the role of a militant. Just as Stirlitz played the role of a German officer, Alexey Filippov played the role of a Ukrainian militant, but in fact he is a Russian citizen who went to the Ukrainian side at the beginning of 2015 with the goal of being an agent of the DPR militia.
What he recently said in an interview with Anatoly Shariy is indeed true. He transmitted this and similar information throughout 2016 to the militia, and they were processed and used for their intended purpose. He constantly conveyed valuable information,” said Alexander Zhuchkovsky.
He noted that the information voiced by Shariy should have been used against the Right Sector much earlier, but, unfortunately, this was not done.
“The information that Filippov voiced to Sharia in a good way should have been voiced by the Russian press and used against the Right Sector in the DPR. Unfortunately, this was not done, and we only learned this information from Shariy. This man played a very important role in the ranks of the enemy, and I think the DPR authorities will appreciate this over time,” Zhuchkovsky said in conclusion.
