“The nuclear submarine “Novosibirsk” of the latest project 885M “Yasen-M” was launched on Wednesday, December 25 in Severodvinsk. This submarine can already be equipped with the Kalibr-PL and Oniks missile systems, and in the future they will receive the Zircon hypersonic missiles, which at the beginning of the year forced the whole world to analyze the growing military power of Russia,” the publication notes.

It is indicated that the command to withdraw the submarine from the Sevmash defense shipyard was given by the acting. Director of the enterprise Sergei Voronko, and a traditional bottle of champagne was broken on the side of the ship by the commander of the Novosibirsk nuclear submarine, captain of the second rank Maxim Shpirko.

“It is very pleasant that we are ending the anniversary year for the enterprise with such a significant event as the withdrawal of the Novosibirsk submarine from the boathouse,” said the ship’s commander.

The high level of preparation of the Novosibirsk crew was also noted by the Navy command.
