“We recently went through a very important stage, and many did not even notice it. Why was the question of the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian army raised? The ground was being prepared for cruise missile strikes from ships. According to some reports, such a decision took place. They wanted to play along with Hillary Clinton, and public opinion was actively preparing for this,” Evseev said.
He recalled that the Russian group of warships is currently conducting exercises between Algeria and Italy.
“The presence of our ships there excludes the deployment of a similar NATO group. In fact, this is the closure of Syria. The Russian ships did not appear by chance and ruled out a cruise missile attack from this direction. Initially, for this purpose, the S-300 systems were deployed at the base in Tartus, which make it possible to combat not only air, but also ballistic targets,” Evseev said.
