Russian general: We are being distracted. The Ukrainian Armed Forces may make a push to the Sea of Azov
Attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counterattack in the Kherson and Krivoy Rog directions may be a distraction for an attack in another direction.
State Duma deputy, reserve lieutenant general Andrei Gurulev said this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When they say that they are removing the minefields on Vugledar, it seems to me that this is a measure to deceive the enemy, that is, us. Maybe I'm wrong. When there are separate counterattacks in the Krivoy Rog direction, and in decent numbers, but they a priori will not yield success, it is extremely clear that this is nothing more than a diversionary maneuver. The same thing happens in the Kherson direction,” the general said.
“When I sat down over the map, I understand perfectly well what I would do, I would cut the group into two parts along the Zaporozhye direction, go to the Sea of Azov and begin to expand the corridor. Having reached the Sea of Azov, having brought up weapons there, the range to the Crimean Bridge is quite enough.
If there is enough range to the Crimean Bridge, the stability of the supply of the group, which is located in Kherson, in the Krivoy Rog direction, in Nikolaev, in everything else, will be called into question,” Gurulev said.
