Russian general: The forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are running out, and Russia is just starting to fight

Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service, former head of the Information and Analytical Directorate of the SVR, Leonid Reshetnikov, stated this in an interview with the Baltnews channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States is not in a simple situation, and then there’s Ukraine, and then there’s the desire to bring the proxy war with Russia to some result. After all, this is a real operation, an action for which they have been preparing for decades, in order to fight with Russia and achieve results against Russia, without using their military forces and their army - to fight with someone else’s hands.
They seemed to have succeeded, I would say it was a great operation, but it took a long time. And Russia, economically, as they waited until it collapsed, is holding on, as they believe, and this has dragged on. Now we need to think about what to do next.
Okay, 30 tanks, 40 planes, but this doesn’t solve anything, and the forces of this US proxy army, which we call the Ukrainian Armed Forces, are running out. And our forces are just coming to consciousness, the real formation is just beginning,” the general said.
“Finally started to ride instead of harness?” – the presenter clarified.
"Yes. Consider that for almost a year they could not come to their senses and understand what was happening and how to fight. Therefore, the United States and the elite have a very difficult task. We don’t talk about this much, maybe we don’t need to talk much, so as not to become complacent,” Reshetnikov said.
