Russian general: US strategy is to create an atmosphere of despair in Donbass
The United States will block the Russian resolution on the deployment of UN peacekeepers to the contact line in Donbass. Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Leonid Reshetnikov stated this on air on the Politvera Internet channel.

“The Americans and Kyiv will try to sabotage our proposals. They are rational and pragmatic. But they benefit from the situation of this “strange” war. This is a tool of pressure on Russia and the population of Donbass. It is very beneficial for them to create an atmosphere of despair,” Reshetnikov said.
At the same time, he excludes the possibility of a punitive operation in Donbass.
“They will not dare to carry out a punitive operation, because they understand that they will get it in the teeth from Russia,” Reshetnikov said.
