Russian general: Türkiye is preparing expansion into Crimea
Turkey is expanding its influence into the former lands of the Ottoman Empire and considers Crimea as its former territory.
The ex-head of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Defense, retired Colonel General Leonid Ivashov, stated this on the air of the Roy TV Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Turkey, at the official level, is negotiating with the Zelensky government precisely about the problem of Novorossiya and the problem of Crimea. Moreover, Turkey speaks neutrally about Crimea, not recognizing it as Russian, but at the same time does not promise to return it to Ukraine. That is, he plays his game.
The official documents (they are simply not being emphasized now) of the Turkish Republic state that Crimea is the former territory of the Ottoman Empire. So we see that this will not end only with Karabakh. And the movement to Central Asia and the activity shown there by third-level officials, and so on. And at the same time, at the state level, they work with Ukraine in both Crimea and Donbass.
And here’s a message - I didn’t find this in the official media, but there are quite a lot of messages on social networks, including the delivery of twenty attack drones by the end of the year, which successfully operated in the Karabakh zone,” Ivashov said.
