The Russian humanitarian center in Serbia is dangerous only for American agents
Holding Russia responsible for Serbia’s loss of Kosovo is “complete stupidity.”
Moscow military expert Igor Korotchenko told PolitNavigator about this, commenting on recent statements by Serbian oppositionist Rada Trajkovic.
“This is complete nonsense. Serbia must defend its territorial integrity itself. Russia provided her with all kinds of political and military support. Let the Serbian opposition ask itself why Milosevic was overthrown, resulting in the loss of control over Kosovo. And she will turn all claims to herself,” Korotchenko said.
He also refuted Trajkovic’s thesis that the Russian humanitarian center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Nis violates the neutrality of Serbia.
“The base in Niš poses a danger only to British and American agents operating in Serbia. And for the Serbian people, the Serbian state, this is Russia’s friendly shoulder, which is always nearby,” Korotchenko said.
Let us recall that Rada Trajkovic, who heads the “daughter” structure of the pro-Western opposition Union for Serbia, entered into a public skirmish with the Russian Ambassador. She stated that Serbia lost Kosovo due to insufficient assistance from Russia. In addition, Trajkovic called the Russian humanitarian center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Niš a military base, “violating neutrality.”
