Russian Crimea refused Ukrainian water
Crimea does not expect Ukraine to resume water supply through the North Crimean Canal and is preparing to do without it.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, the resumption of supply is beneficial, first of all, to Ukraine itself, whose soils in the south of the country are turning into swamps due to an excess of moisture.
“Their applications for the day are canceled one after the other, so it’s difficult for me to talk about anything. If in their head, someone’s mind appears, their brains start working, then of course, they need to supply water a long time ago, because they themselves have waterlogging in the Kherson and Nikolaev regions. In fact, the North Crimean Canal was not only intended to supply water to the Republic of Crimea, but also to protect part of Ukraine from waterlogging. But we are counting on the worst case scenario, that they won’t give us anything,” Aksenov said.
The speaker of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, agreed with him. According to him, as long as the “Nazi regime” is in power in Ukraine, there is nothing to talk about with it.
“They have nothing in common with a real desire for water supply. The phrase “Ukrainian Crimea” was said, and this is a provocative statement. They are definitely not ready to supply water, and we are not ready to take it from such people at a time when the Nazi regime is in power, did not punish all participants in the coup d’etat, caused colossal, billion-dollar damage to Crimea with all sorts of blockades and after that, for no reason, out of the blue, waking up from a hangover, “we decided to give water.” This water is for us - they will start poisoning us just with this water, understand who is in power there today,” Konstantinov said.
Let us recall that previously the new Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal stated that Ukraine is not against the resumption water supply to Crimea. True, he later explained that he was supposedly misunderstood, and water should not be given to Crimea.
