“When a child comes to school, he must continue to socialize. I don’t see anything wrong with a child wiping down his desk or working in his garden. From childhood he should be accustomed to order,” Vasilyeva said.
She recalled that technological education was introduced back in 2004. Most Moscow schools have replaced it with computer science.
“They forgot that you can sew, do turning, and hammer nails. We have 42 thousand schools, of which 26 thousand are rural schools. Agricultural teams continue to work there. This is a necessity,” Vasilyeva said.
She believes that career guidance for high schools should return to schools.
“The percentage of parents who choose secondary vocational education for their children is growing. Then the child can go to a university for a budget place according to his profile, or he can go to work. Introducing our schoolchildren to the professions that are in demand in the region is a good story. It exists in many countries of the world,” Vasilyeva said.
