Russian minister in Davos: Western sanctions scenario did not work
Russia has largely managed to overcome the negative effect of economic sanctions, and its economy is now recovering.
Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin stated this at the 49th World Economic Forum in Davos, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course there was an effect on financial markets, especially in 2014. We had a recession in 2015. But since then the economy has begun to recover. Of course, there were many structural problems, we tried to solve them one by one. We have implemented a wide range of macroeconomic reforms. Now we are taking the investment climate to a new level. Step by step, we are trying to build a sustainable systemic framework that supports growth, and the growth of not only the economy as a whole, but also every city in Russia,” the minister said.
Let us recall that Ukrainian propaganda in recent years has convinced us that the collapse of Russia will occur in the near future under the yoke of Western sanctions, after which Crimea and Donbass will return to Kyiv’s control.
