Russian oligarch arrived in Israel for citizenship – media
Russian businessman Roman Abramovich arrived on a private plane in Israel on Monday, where he is undergoing the procedure for obtaining Israeli citizenship, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
The publication notes that on May 24, another Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that Abramovich decided to immigrate to Israel after difficulties in obtaining a UK visa.
According to the publication, the owner of the British Chelsea club is currently building a large mansion in the prestigious tourist area of Tel Aviv, Neve Tzedek.
Earlier, Russian businessman Roman Abramovich was refused to extend his British visa due to his unwillingness to explain to the British authorities the origin of his fortune.
