The Russian ombudsman joins the fight against Russophobia in Moldova
The Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova will receive complaints from citizens of Transnistria
This was reported by the First Pridnestrovsky TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are manifestations of Russophobia. For my part, I intend to make an official statement to international bodies, including the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. I would like to draw the attention of the entire international community to the inadmissibility of any manifestations of discrimination against people,” Moskalkova said during a video conference with her Pridnestrovian colleague.
The ombudsmen discussed the scandalous Moldovan law “on separatism,” under which any citizen of Transnistria can be held criminally liable.
In addition, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the PMR, Vyacheslav Kosinsky, raised the issue of human rights violations when Russian citizens crossed the border at Chisinau airport.
“Citizens of Transnistria with Russian passports are subjected to humiliating searches, and sometimes they are not allowed to enter their place of residence,” Kosninsky said.
