About this he wrote on his Instagram page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We shot this video almost two years ago in Kyiv with a Ukrainian team over two incredibly warm, sunny, sincere and friendly days. Then no one could even think that soon I would not be able to enter this country (I really hope that this will not last long). One of my messages was to make kisses a symbol of reconciliation between the then just quarreling states (apparently, until everyone heard me). And, of course, dedicate this video to all those in love!” – wrote Fomin.
Previously, Fomin found himself at the center of a scandal in Ukraine because of his statements in the media, where he called Crimea the territory of Russia, which outraged Ukrainian nationalists, apparently expecting a different answer from him to the question “Whose Crimea?” asked at the jazz festival in Lviv.
“I think it’s right to speak out about my interview with Ekaterina Osadchaya during the jazz festival in Lviv, which became an Internet sensation this weekend.” I have always said that artists are beyond politics. I have always said that their mission is to reconcile and “make friends” with people through art, creativity, and music. I talked about this when I performed in hot spots, when I went with concerts to Chechnya, when I did a large acoustic program for the 70th anniversary of the Victory - Victory in the war that the Russian and Ukrainian people won together. I said that I don’t want to fight, I don’t want to take up arms, I don’t want to know war, and I hope that I will never have to do this, and that the main way I can express my civic position is through my songs and concerts. And I always said that if they call you somewhere, it means they want to see you, it means people need you,” Fomin said then.
Thank you!
