Russian political scientist “Donbass is not Ukraine, the Opposition Bloc is a fake”
Donbass is not Ukraine, belonging to it only on paper, Russian political scientist Sergei Markov said on the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Donbass is not Ukraine. This is a fact - not Ukraine. Legally it is Ukraine, but in fact it is not,” Markov said.
“Understand that there is no legitimate government in Ukraine. There is a group of war criminals, foreign agents, which carries out a policy of state terror against the population and which is a challenge to democracy and freedom,” the speaker also noted.
At the same time, he believes that in Ukraine there are currently no real opponents of the regime in the legal field. The expert called the “Opposition Bloc” a fake opposition project controlled by the United States and created to “let off steam.”
“Nobody is killing them, since this project is being carried out, again, under the control of our American colleagues... We need some kind of channel for opposition sentiments. Here they made such people - as they say in Ukraine, “the reconciled ones,” says Markov.
