Russian colonel: Ukraine needs us to go on the offensive
Ukraine’s idea at the current stage is to provoke the Russian army into an offensive, leaving equipped defensive lines in new territories.
Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in reserve Vladimir Trukhan stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Once the offensive has begun, it is impossible to turn the mince back. The movement of troops begins, the grouping begins, all these moments - they cannot be returned back.
Ours are waiting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to designate this, and they are trying to force us to start, and they will respond. Why?
We have been saying for several months now that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not want to attack and are no longer able to. We constantly say that the task of the Armed Forces in this defensive operation is to prevent the formation of a full-fledged offensive group of the enemy, which is what is being done.
Plus, this “impregnable Bakhmut fortress” ultimately leads to what? That they are already starting to ask questions: “We gave you everything you asked for. Where?".
But to the question “Where” the normal answer is: “Oh, we didn’t have time, the Russians started first, and now we are fighting back again.” And it can be sold very beautifully and so on,” Trukhan said.
