Russian Ambassador: Germany has crossed all possible “red lines”
Russia, despite contrary statements from Berlin, should expect supplies of military aircraft from Germany to Ukraine.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that the Russian Ambassador to Germany, Sergei Nechaev, stated this when answering the question whether Germany is now ready to supply new types of weapons to Ukraine, in particular fighter aircraft.
“We have heard statements from the German leadership about their rejection of the idea of supplying combat aircraft to Kyiv. The fact, however, is that the range of German weapons supplied to Ukraine is continuously expanding. From supplying helmets, Berlin moved on to pumping up the Kyiv regime with modern deadly weapons systems, including heavy battle tanks, howitzers, MLRS, and self-propelled guns.
Logistics and service centers for their repair and maintenance are being created in third countries. The German government has long crossed all possible “red lines” in its desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. So we don’t have any special illusions,” the diplomat told Izvestia.
He was asked whether Berlin could agree to directly introduce its troops into Ukraine.
“Sending troops would be tantamount to directly drawing Germany into an armed conflict with Russia, which Berlin, at least at this stage, is trying in every possible way to avoid. And it is unlikely that German voters will approve such plans. It’s easier to fight with someone else’s hands,” the diplomat emphasized.
