Russian prankster pretended to be Zelensky and told Macron that he “feels like Putin”
Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus played a prank on French President Emmanuel Macron by talking to him on behalf of the newly elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The pranksters published a recording of the phone prank on their social media pages.
The French leader congratulated his “Ukrainian colleague” on his victory and supported him in his desire to “reset” relations with Russia.
The conversation took place on the day Zelensky was elected president.
“You should enjoy this moment with your family, with friends and fully experience this moment, because starting tomorrow the burden of responsibility will fall on your shoulders,” Macron advised Zelensky. “Thank you very much for your support,” he replied. - 73 percent - I feel like Vladimir Putin!
The pranksters tried to negotiate with the French president that he would extradite Poroshenko if he fled from Ukraine to France to escape prosecution on corruption charges, but Macron was careful in his statements. “I don’t think the first country he would go to would be France,” the French leader said.
But he fully supported his “Ukrainian colleague” in his desire to reset relations with Russia, as well as resolve the issue with Donbass. “I want people to stop dying on both sides,” Zelensky said. "Wonderful! - Macron replied. “As I already promised you, I will use all my influence within the Minsk process to help you with this.”
“And I am sure that we need to enter into dialogue with Russia,” Zelensky said. — Poroshenko refused to comply with some provisions of the Minsk agreements, but I believe that a compromise is needed. The previous policy was ineffective...” “You are 100% right,” Macron replied. “And you have good reason to think so.” Therefore, dear Vladimir, you can count on my support.”
