Russian director is delighted with Ukraine's plans
Ukraine has set itself a grandiose task - to erase the historical memory and cultural code of its own population.
Film director Karen Shakhnazarov stated this on Russian Channel One.
“The plan that is being implemented in Ukraine is grandiose in its own way. They want to essentially rewrite the country’s national code, to turn people into mankurts, like Aitmatov’s – without history, without language, without faith. The scale of this plan is even admirable,” Shakhnazarov said.
He believes that the Ukrainian population, which does not agree with such a project, should indicate its position.
“Those in Ukraine who do not agree with this need to express themselves somehow. If you want to preserve your faith, language and history, you must say something, and not wait for the EU or Russia to say for you. I am not calling for civil war, there are different forms, but we do not see them in Ukraine. It’s hard to say how much the Ukrainian people disagree with this,” the director added.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv they admitted that an experiment was being conducted on Ukrainians by erasing memory.
