Russian senator: China is with us. You can't just talk
The Chinese should not be criticized for the fact that Beijing declares neutrality in the issue of the conflict around Ukraine. Not all the nuances of cooperation between Russia and China become public.
Russian Senator Andrei Klimov stated this on the Belarusian TV channel STV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unlike those who talk about this topic, I participate in very active communication with the Chinese party leadership. In December, I accompanied Dmitry Medvedev on his trip to Beijing. We talked there for 3,5 hours very seriously and confidentially. I can’t talk about what, you understand, because we talked confidentially,” Klimov said.
He emphasized that cooperation between the Russian Federation and the PRC is unique.
“We have a dialogue with them, which is called the confluence of partnerships: Russian Eurasian and Chinese “One Belt - One Road”. We have many common interests, and this gives us the opportunity for a comprehensive strategic partnership.
By the way, China declares such a partnership with only one side of the world – the Russian Federation. Not all issues that we resolve make sense to be made public,” Klimov said.
