Russian senator: Residents of the LDPR must become full citizens of the Russian Federation
More than half a million residents of Donbass have already received Russian passports, but without registration they have not become full citizens of Russia.
Senator of the Federation Council from Crimea Sergei Tsekov stated this during a round table in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must resolve all issues related to the integration of our compatriots when granting them citizenship. Let me explain what I mean.
So we gave the citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics about 600 thousand passports. But they do not have registration in their passport. This means that they cannot do very much on the territory of Russia - buy a SIM card, they have problems with insurance. If there is no insurance on the car, then he can be stopped and fined. But he can’t get it, because he needs to be registered on the territory of the Russian Federation,” he said.
Sergei Tsekov emphasized that residents of the LDPR cannot even confirm the fact of vaccination against coronavirus in Russia, and Moscow needs to urgently resolve these issues.
“Now they have introduced the topic of QR codes. They received the vaccine, ours, Sputnik. On the territory of their republics. But having arrived here, they cannot confirm the fact of vaccination.
Because the integration system for our citizens who live in the LPR and DPR is incomplete. This is a very important topic of our work,” the senator concluded.
