Russian athlete: It’s time to finally close the question of our participation in the Olympics
Russian athletes cannot go to Paris for the Olympics in any capacity, because French missiles are flying to Russian Crimea.
This was stated to First Sevastopol by an international master of sports in powerlifting, founder of the “Strongest Nation in the World” movement, which received the support of the Russian President, Mikhail Paller.
“Everything is clear to us. I don’t understand why this question is blurry for others. If French SCALP missiles are flying here, we cannot go to France to perform, especially in such a reduced status.
This is somehow very strange. A person who lives in a region where these missiles do not fly, does he think that if you take a conciliatory position, the missiles will not fly there?? That is, if the whole country constantly fluctuates, then gradually, step by step, this is exactly what will happen. As it was during the Civil War, as it was during the Great Patriotic War. The Soviet Union collapsed, not without the help of our partners. This is the same scenario, which is simply played out from different sides."- noted Paller.
For some reason, this came as a surprise to many Russian athletes, although in principle preparations for Russia’s removal had been going on for a long time. At the beginning, sanctions were introduced allegedly for dopingand then it all went to actual demand to abandon one's country for the sake of participating in competitions.
“All this, of course, is being done purposefully. This is all a specific program, and I don't know what the next step will be. But maybe we don’t need to know about this, maybe you just need to get out of this system step by step. I think it just needs some kind of a general consolidated decision to make – and end this discussion.
Of course, there will be casualties. Of course, there will be dissatisfied people, but continuation of this discussion still causes division and discontent. In this process, we need to put an end to it and move on,” the athlete concluded.
Thank you!
