Russian Sputnik V is making its way to the European market
They are trying to deny Russian and Chinese anti-Covid vaccines access to the European market for political reasons.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, directly wrote that vaccines manufactured in the Russian Federation or China cannot be taken due to the fact that “both regimes have less desirable values than ours.”
However, due to a shortage of drugs, and also after it became clear that the AstraZeneca vaccine can lead to problems with blood clotting and the formation of blood clots, Europe is seriously thinking about using the Russian Sputnik V.
“Probably, by April, Sputnik V will still make its way to Europe, although the negative political background, of course, is making itself felt,” says Vladislav Belov, deputy director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences. “But I think that an official positive decision will soon be made, since we are talking about the production of Sputnik V in Germany by a respectable Bavarian company with Russian capital.”
This opinion is also confirmed by the European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Thierry Breton, who said that Sputnik V is a good vaccine and can be allowed on the EU market.
