Russian MI-8 helicopter violated the state border of Ukraine
Sumy, May 22 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – A Russian MI-8 helicopter violated Ukrainian airspace in the area of responsibility of the Yunakovka department of the Sumy border detachment.

According to the State Border Service, at about 21.00 the border patrol of the Yunakovka department observed a Mi-8 helicopter flying along the Ukrainian-Russian border at a low altitude. Between the Russian settlement of Sudzha and the Ukrainian settlement of Basovka, a helicopter violated Ukrainian airspace during a maneuver.
“Having flown deep into Ukrainian territory up to 2500 m, it continued to move over the territory of Ukraine up to 2000 m, after which it flew in the opposite direction to Russian territory,” the department said.
Russian border guards were informed about this fact, from whom confirmation was received that this helicopter belongs to the border department of the FSB of Russia in the Kursk region.
As Navigator reported, today Ukrainian border guards announced an attempt by unknown persons to break through the state border in the Luhansk region and storm the border detachments.
