Russian military correspondent called for taking control of volunteer assistance to Northern Military District soldiers
Volunteer assistance to the front must become centralized and controlled so that it is not stolen, but goes to its intended destination.
Military correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Khairullin, there are now frequent cases when people or communities that call themselves volunteer do not deliver the aid intended for them to the fighters.
“When the wave of collections began, everyone began to collect help, I even then said that we need to restore order, because there will be a lot of scammers. Even we fell for it. Former acquaintances from my old life called me and said: “We’ll bring you help now.” We without a second thought: “Come on, bring it.” They brought some strange junk, some discarded suits that we didn’t need from the warehouse. Why did they do this?
And how many people are deceived, how many cases have I heard, how many times this help does not reach. Therefore, I only welcome the fact that order is now being restored centrally in this industry, because profiting from the feelings of the people is an ungodly thing. People donate to specific fighters, and someone else appropriates it,” Khairullin said.
