Russian military correspondent: In new wars, the future belongs to gamers with colored hair and earrings
In the new wars of the future, computer game players will eventually be able to do much more than trained special forces.
Military journalist Alexander Kharchenko stated this during a round table in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the future, why is it necessary to send saboteurs in order to destroy some person, to get across the defense line? He came within three kilometers, picked it up, launched the [UAV] and eliminated the target. That's it, this is the future. Cheapness, simplicity, and versatility – that’s where you need to look... And this will be the future of all conflicts,” the journalist said.
“Why would you train a special forces group that lived in the field for 10 years, killing someone, if you can take gamers, whom everyone laughs at now: “Shaggy, with colored hair, an earring in their ear, what can they do in a modern conflict? " Yes, he can do much more even now than a special forces soldier, he just needs to find a worthy use for him,” Kharchenko said.
