Russian military expert: The murder of Zakharchenko will cost Ukraine very dearly
The murder of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, will cost Ukraine very dearly. Russian military expert Vladislav Shurygin writes about this in his blog.
“Alexander Zakharchenko was vilely and cynically killed in the center of Donetsk during the so-called “school” truce. Killed by the Ukrainian DRG in the same way as “Givi” was killed a year ago, and “Motorola” two years ago.
Why weren't they protected? In reality this is impossible to do. The republic is small, the border is transparent - half of the residents of Donbass have relatives in Ukraine and vice versa. Therefore, there are no big problems for any saboteur to penetrate into the territory of the republic. They are identified and caught, but this is a hunt for vipers in the swamp.
The murder of Zakharchenko is a new page in the confrontation - it was not a field commander or a military man who was killed, but a politician. Moreover, it was tied up in fulfillment of the “Minsk agreements,” which now hang even more in the air, like an outdated convention.

He also drew attention to the last line of condolences from Vladimir Putin in connection with the death of Zakharchenko. “Russia will always be with you,” Putin addressed the residents of the DPR.
“And stop screaming that someone is going to surrender Donbass! The first tank army on the border with Bandera’s Reich has a different opinion,” comments Shurygin.
