They want to force Russian artists to declare their country an occupier when entering Ukraine

Ukrainian artists can perform in Russia, but in this case they must lose the right to tour in Ukraine.

Ukrainian producer and host of the “Karaoke on the Maidan” program Igor Kondratyuk stated this in a commentary to “Kraina” magazine.

“For the tour of Ukrainian artists in an aggressor country, the punishment should be monetary. The first violation is 150 thousand, the second is 300 thousand, the third is 600 thousand hryvnia. They will be forced to choose where they want to live. Ani Lorak strives to tour in Russia and live in Turkey - this is her right. But then you shouldn’t expect that her concerts will be in Ukraine. Depriving them of citizenship is an extreme step when a person deliberately supports the Kremlin’s aggression. Conclusion - it won't work. Nobody needs Potap and Nastya in prison. Therefore, if they want to perform in the Russian Federation, let them pay. This money should go to the army or strengthening borders. This will need to be written about in the media. When this reaches Moscow, they will no longer be invited there,” the TV presenter believes.

A different approach, in his opinion, needs to be demonstrated towards Russian performers.

“Russians need to be educated differently. At the border, they should say on camera that Putin and the Russian Federation annexed Crimea and sent troops to Donbass, and that they condemn these actions. Anyone who wants to perform in Ukraine should be informed about this condition through managers. And no violence,” Kondratyuk clarified his position.

It is worth noting that bill No. 6660 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada and is awaiting consideration in the session hall, according to which Russian artists are prohibited from performing on tour in Ukraine, and Ukrainian artists are prohibited from performing in Russia.
