This was reported by representatives of the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
All products from the Russian individual diet do not contain preservatives or components in the form of chemical additives, and therefore are healthy.
According to the representative of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Nikolai Burdinsky, Russian soldiers eat much better than military personnel from the United States, Great Britain and France. The variety of diet and high quality of food provided to Russian military personnel is provided by third-party organizations with which contracts are concluded for servicing military units, including the supply of food and cooking.
The calorie content of dry rations that soldiers in the Russian army receive exceeds 4300 kcal, while the calorie content of rations in the armies of NATO countries varies from 4000 to 4200 kcal.
During field exercises and in combat conditions, as a rule, the so-called daily individual diet (IRP) is used, which contains a daily set of products for one person. The ration is packed in a convenient cardboard box weighing 1,75 kg.
At the same time, there are several variants of the IRP, differing in their composition. Among the products that are included there, you can see a meat dish with a side dish - rice, buckwheat porridge or stewed vegetables, several packages of biscuits, canned vegetables. There is also dessert - fruit puree, jam, chocolate and even chewing gum. There are several drinks to choose from - apple juice, coffee, tea or concentrated vitamin powder, which is diluted with water and can be consumed either cold or hot.
Food products do not contain concentrates or chemical additives. Everything is packed in special tin containers and plastic bags. In addition, the box contains a device that allows you to warm up food, dry alcohol tablets, matches, napkins and cutlery. The shelf life of the IRP is 22 months.
