Russian human rights defenders are instructed to enter the international arena
International institutions designed to ensure and support human rights,
For 8 years, appeals from Russian human rights activists about the humanitarian tragedy in Donbass were ignored.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They pretended that they all went blind or deaf at once. And only after the start of a special military operation, the UNHRC, the Council of Europe, and other so-called human rights organizations suddenly “saw the light” and shamelessly began to demonstrate their cynical bias, shifting the blame from a sore head to a healthy one, as we say.
All this meant that these structures were unable to fulfill their statutory tasks. Due to their obvious bias, Russia was forced to renounce membership in a number of these organizations. We see that the doctrine of human rights is used to destroy the sovereignty of states, to justify Western political, financial, economic and ideological dominance,” Putin said.
He proposed that the HRC itself become an effective international platform on which it could fight “outright racism and aggressive Russophobia, blatant lies and vile, without any exaggeration, vile fakes that are spread by foreign media and other propaganda resources.”
