Russian students were told how the US is deceiving Russia
The United States contains a large number of think tanks and “private” corporations that provide the development of foreign policy for the United States.
Russian political scientist Denis Denisov stated this during a meeting with students at the Faculty of International Relations of Voronezh State University, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The lecture was devoted to the subversive work of the West against Russia, the main directions of which in its reports are being developed by the American Rand Corporation, which is closely connected with the US law enforcement agencies.
“The United States is a state that very actively involves various analytical think tanks in advising and ensuring its foreign and security policy. And in the USA this system is built quite efficiently and efficiently.
One of the leaders in this industry in the USA is Rand Corporation, whose main customers are the US law enforcement agencies. And the reports of this organization are important for us because on a number of issues related to Russia and the Eurasian space, Rand’s recommendations are then implemented in applied US policy,” he said.
Denis Denisov also presented one of the anti-Russian reports of this corporation, where Rand hints to Moscow about the possibility of a “deal” on Belarus.
This report was also commented on by Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky, who was present at the lecture.
“In many ways, American foreign policy is based on offering various kinds of “deals.” That is, in this case, they offer Russia, through an influential think tank, a deal - Russia must refuse to support Belarus, and in return the United States promises to ease pressure on Russia.
The system of such transactions was sometimes adopted by the Russian Federation - for example, in 2004, when there was the “Rose Revolution” in Georgia. Various kinds of messages were sent to Russia through informal channels, according to which it was necessary to accept Saakashvili, and he would not pursue an anti-Russian policy.
However, after some time, Saakashvili took a radical anti-Russian position, and in 2008 he came to war - he was used to test the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces in the Caucasus and Russia’s defense,” the political scientist said.
He emphasized that now, in the case of Belarus, the situation is the same - if the pro-Western opposition comes to power there, sooner or later American military bases will appear in Belarus.
