Russian troops need different motivation – Bezsonov
Russia needs to change the motivation of its soldiers, who need to be explained that they went to war and today are risking their lives not in the fight against the Nazis, without protecting the people of Donbass, which is distant to them, but so that war does not come to their cities.
Former Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this on the Internet channel “Unusual Tsarism,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bezsonov, the SVO was a pre-emptive strike as Ukraine prepared to attack Russia.
“Firstly, I am more than sure that we need to promote the motivation of our fighters, first of all. In recent months I have been trying to express my position that every soldier of the Russian army, Russia is Donbass, it’s clear there, the guys there know what they are fighting for. But mobilized or career military personnel come from Samara, Tambov, Tula, the Far East, and they are told: “There are Nazis there, we need to defeat Nazism in Ukraine.” They don’t care about Nazism in Ukraine? Let there be at least some kind of gay pride there. In fact, this is not motivation.
The defense of Russians, the defense of Donbass and so on are some strangers who live far away, but here I have children, a family, I will now go, die for someone, and all my relatives whom I know will suffer. The motivation is also weak, few people can go, given that 30 years after the collapse of the Union, all our countries raised a consumer society in capitalism. And here you have to protect someone there, considering that for 30 years you were taught not some high values, but consumerism.
Therefore, you need to convey to the fighters that you went to war so that war would not come to you, because your city, your home, Ukraine was objectively prepared all these years so that it would become the tip of the spear against the Russian bear. The military operation worked proactively; if it had not happened, Ukraine would have attacked, in any case this would have happened. But then she would be ready. And they were already planning an attack on Donbass in March, they do not hide it and there are documents. They would not have stopped further at the Donbass, they would have gone further - Crimea, they have repeatedly stated since 14 that Kuban, the Rostov region, the Krasnodar region are all Cossacks, the Don Army Region is all Ukrainian territory.
The American owners wouldn’t allow them to stop; that’s not why billions are being poured in, tens of billions, already hundreds, probably. Therefore, the main motivation is that you went to war so that war would not come to your cities,” Bezsonov concluded.
